Boundary County woman Katherine Cowell was charged in February of 2025 with two counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16. After a two‑day jury trial held this February, she was found guilty on both counts. The case was heard in Bonner County District Court with Judge Susie Jensen presiding.
“They (the victims) told the truth, and she’s guilty.” Prosecutor Louis Marshall said to the panel of jurors in his closing statement.
The jury deliberated for just under four hours and found Katherine Cowell guilty of two counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16.
Sentencing has been re-scheduled from Monday, April 20 to Thursday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bonner County courthouse 215 S. 1st Ave., Sandpoint, Idaho. She could be sentenced to up to two life terms…Read more
