GOETZ, Harriet Goetz March 7, 1941 – April 18, 2026

She, 85, of Mildmay, Ontario, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Born on March 7, 1941 to Harry and Juletta Schumacher, Harriet lived in Bruce County all her life and dedicated many years of service to several organizations including the Bruce County Health Unit, the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board, the Mildmay-Carrick Figure Skating Club, the Sacred Heart Parish community in Mildmay, and the Catholic Women’s League. She is remembered for her kind and generous heart, patience, diligence, and her excellent cooking and baking, especially her Dutch apple pie.

Harriet Goetz is survived by her children Lou Anne Goetz of Hanover and Vincent Goetz (and wife, Ann) of Toronto; her grandchildren Mackenzie, Cameron, Gabrielle, Albert, Oliver, and Evan; her sister Rosalyn Burnside, sister-in-law Lia Buck, brother-in-law Bruce Goetz (and wife, Gerry), and son-in-law Kevin Kuntz. Her husband Allan, brother Matthew, and brother-in-law John Burnside preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, Mildmay with Father Leszek Szczygiel presiding. Reception to follow. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mildmay.
