He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. He was 91. Beloved husband of Eleanore (nee Baird). Loving father of Mark (Cheryl) Lyons, Larry (Debbie) MacMillan, Catherine (George) Bozzo and Crystal (Colin Chambers). Proud grandfather of Victoria Bozzo, Lauren Chambers, Bridget (Richard King), Danika Lyons (Wes Crandall), Patricia Lyons (Colin Parker), Brent MacMillan (Ashley) and Paul MacMillan (Krystal) and great-grandfather of Trent, Taylor, Willow, Riley, Bryce, Nixon, Kallen, Kensley, Kipton, Chantel and Theo.
Wayne Lyons will also be lovingly remembered by his sister Colleen Fiddes and his brother Malcolm (Val) Lyons.
Wayne was predeceased by his sister Catherine (Robert) Walker and his brother-in-law John Fiddes.
Friends and relatives are invited to visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026. At Cameron’s in Walkerton. A service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026 at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church (305 Colborne Street, Walkerton). Reverend Rob Hiscox officiating. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102 (505 Scott Street, Walkerton. A private family interment will take place in the Walkerton Cemetery.
